She rolls over!

On St. Pat's day Ella rolled over for the first time, but we all missed it because we weren't looking! Since then, I have been stalking Ella with my camera trying to capture the elusive roll. Below is the evolution of my stalking . . . in the first video, Aunt Sandra tries to remind her how to roll and Ella almost gets it. In the next two, she rolls for the camera!!

She laughs!

I caught a little bit of her laugh. We have seen glimpses of it over the last couple weeks, but it is short lived and allusive. Here, Grandma Grahl tries to make Ella hold up her hands to ask to be let out of the swing and Ella thinks it's hilarious.

Grandma Grahl, Aunt Debbie, and Aunt Sandra are here!

Ella has been having a wonderful visit with her Grandma Grahl, Aunt Debbie, and Aunt Sandra. There are so many hands to hold her, she barely has time to play with her jungle friends on her gym and her chair. Grandma Grahl loves to rock her in the rocking chair--that is how she gets Ella to sleep.

Aunt Sandra supervises some tummy time. Ella is just beginning to like being on her stomach. She is trying to roll over every day now, but she can't quite master how to tuck her arm under herself to get all the way over.

Aunt Debbie has been crocheting like a crazy woman, but she always takes time out to hold and play with Ella.

Ella loves to sit in Grandma's lap and play dominoes. I think she and Grandma were winning this game!

Happy Birthday to Nonna, Daddy, and Mommy

On Saturday night we had a joint birthday party for Nonna, Kurt, and me, but Ella was the star of the night! We ate pasta for dinner and had ice cream cake and Eiffel Tower cookies for dessert. Yummy!

Ella ate her first ice cream cone! Actually, she just held her first ice cream cone.

Uncle Greg likes holding Ella better now that her head is not so wobbly.
